Lucky Lady IV Special Yacht Event – June 5th, 2013

Sknation decided to develop and brand the first urban Yacht event for the city of Vancouver. This would allow the company to create branding awareness within the demography they intend to design for and bring together Vancouver’s business network within a creative networking platform. The event would not only showcase the company’s capabilities with regards to software design and development as a tech company, it would also allow them the ability to create a truly social brand as a “nation”.

Lucky Lady IV not only went successfully with a turnout of over 500 individuals, according to the company’s President and Chief Operating Officer, Jerry Agudogo, “being able to create a marketing partnership with industrial giants such as Vancity Buzz, DIPT and Forty-Fourth Records only made this special event more magnificent”. The company stated that the goal of this event is to create a commercialised urban event where companies are able to showcase their capabilities and bring their brands out to notable Vancouver businesses. “The creativity put into this event by the marketing team allowed the success of the first event to create such a buzz within the community we’re in as well as those we hope to work with, that it was named Vancouver’s most anticipated urban yacht event”. According to Chris Elawa, Sky Nation’s Lead Designer, the branding of this event, as well as pre-and-post videography was something the design team had to have nailed down. The image of the company as well as what elements of our core values were to be projected through this event, needed to be apparent to the individuals checking out the website of the event, or looking at the posters or promotional material used.” According to Chris Elawa, Sky Nation’s Lead Designer, the branding of this event, as well as pre-and-post videography was something the design team had to have nailed down. “The image of the company as well as what elements of our core values were to be projected through this event needed to be apparent to the individuals checking out the website of the event, or looking at the posters or promotional material used”.

The company believes that software and design are becoming so intertwined, that the quality of any product should be judged by the cover of its application. We as a company do not intend on creating African products that are sub-par to any of our competitors since we hope to create products at world class standards. In Kayode Fatoba’s words, “Sky Nation’s journey has just begun, but the possibilities for success are starting to become more and more infinite with each successful milestone we achieve as a company”.
