African Entertainment Inc. proudly announces the highly anticipated edition of the African Entertainment (AE) Awards, happening on October 21, 2017 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre located at 222 Bremner Blvd, Toronto, ON M5V 3L9.
Hosting the fifth edition of the awards ceremony is comedian Basket Mouth, an African talent leading the comedy industry in Africa.
Unveiling the theme for the 2017 AE Awards – “Rebranding Africa through Entertainment, the event promises to leave a lasting impression while celebrating Africa’s immense contribution to the entertainment industry across the globe. This year’s ceremony is set to offer big changes from previous years, including better quality visuals, from the production to the red carpet experience.”
Speaking on the objective of this year’s award ceremony, Founder and Executive Producer, African Entertainment Inc., Ibrahim Adekale said, “We are excited to recognize and honor the African talents in the entertainment industry today. Using the AE Awards platform, our goal is to share these creative talents with the world.”
The Planning Committee of the 2017 edition is also working to ensure an increase in local and international celebrities, special guests and personalities from various sectors of the African Entertainment Industry.
Since its inception in 2011, the African Entertainment Awards has awarded over 150 of the brightest African talents. With the commencement of its fifth nomination year, the award is set to welcome the emerging entertainment leaders into its hall of fame.
